About Our Company

Sherlock's Home Inspections began providing services throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex region in 1999. Bill Tatum, founder and owner of Sherlock's Home Inspections, has expanded SHI to include three licensed Texas Real Estate Commission Professional Home Inspectors who annually perform over 1,000 inspections in Tarrant, Dallas, and surrounding counties. We are affiliated with the Arlington Board of Realtors and the North Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors.

SHI Home Inspectors are licensed through the Texas Real Estate Commission and receive annual training and recertification for renewal of licensing. SHI inspectors carry Professional Liability Insurance also known as E/O insurance as required by state law. SHI inspectors have extensive knowledge and experience in home inspections and all areas of construction including local building codes and unique soil conditions in the North Texas area and how this may affect foundations. This combination of licensing and knowledge provides our clients with a professional inspection as well as peace of mind in knowing that their investment is a sound investment.
